Virtual Akron

Perhaps one of the most interesting pieces of architecture in Akron's downtown is Inventure Place. The courtyard in front of the sail-like structure actually enters the building several levels above the bottom floor. From the top floors, which contain the Inventor's Hall of Fame displays, you can see all the way down to the bottom floor, which holds several interactive exhibits.

Inventue Place truly has much to offer the entire family. Adults will appreciate the interesting inventor displays, while the young ones will most likely gravitate to the hands-on exhibits, which contain everything from a harp with lasers instead of strings to cameras which allow visitors to create stop-motion animations.

Invent Now also hosts a number of programs targeted to children and students from preschool to college. There is a ton of information on their website about these mind-expanding and fun programs.
